London is a hot spot for fitness bloggers, ranging from personal trainers such as Faya Nilsson and Carly Rowena to sports fanatics like Lottie Murphy. We’ve searched the internet to find the best fitness bloggers in London to get you motivated and into the gym.
Madeleine Shaw
Hailing from Wandsworth, yoga instructor Madeleine Shaw set up her self-titled blog about five years ago. She shares her tips for staying healthy as well as recipes, reviews and travel guides.
Not only does Madeleine have more than 266,000 followers on Instagram alone, she has also released two books titled “Get the Glow” and “Ready, Steady, Glow”. They aim to encourage women to adopt a healthy lifestyle without resorting to dieting and starvation.
Lottie Murphy
If you pay Lottie Murphy’s blog a visit you can expect to find an abundance of tempting recipes, sample workouts and other motivating posts. Apart from being a blogger, Lottie is also a Pilates instructor, having fallen in love with the exercise when she was a teenager.
She holds classes in various locations around London and now runs a session we can highly recommend at the Active Living Room in Covent Garden every Thursday.
Faya Nilsson
Faya’s passion for healthy and unusual food encouraged her to start her own blog, Fitness On Toast, in 2013. It soon evolved into a hugely successful online platform where readers can find out more about nutrition and discover different training routines.
Faya also shares the latest in sports fashion and has written her own book called “Fit in 3: The Scandi Plan”, which she describes as being the “the original get fit slowly scheme”.
Scott Overall
If you’ve considered taking up running but have no idea where to begin then Scott Overall is your guy. Scott started running at the age of 14 and has competed in numerous cross country races and marathons, both in the UK and abroad.
He was close to racing in the 2016 Olympics but fell ill and wasn’t selected for Team GB. Scott refused to give up and hopefully his story will encourage you to do the same.
Carly Rowena
If you’re an avid blog reader I’m sure you’ve heard of Carly Rowena. She’s the first name that comes to mind when thinking of fitness bloggers in London. Carly is your typical girl next door so it’s not surprising that she is considered one of the most influential bloggers and YouTubers.
Whether you’re looking to improve your diet or try new exercise routines, you know you can count on Carly.
Cantara
Gymbags and Gladrags is brought to you by Cantara, who describes her blog as “an online resource for those of us on a journey to be healthier, fitter and more fabulous”. Join Cantara as she documents new ways to eat clean and be active.
She believes that we should stick to routines we enjoy rather than ones we find tedious, since that is the best way to achieve the results we desire.
Poppy Cross
Based in Notting Hill, Poppy Cross is a well-known blogger who covers health, fitness and luxury lifestyles. Her work has been featured in a number of newspapers and magazines such as Tatler, You Magazine and Health & Fitness.
Poppy has also collaborated with various brands and experts in the beauty and well-being fields. Read Poppy’s blog to find out how she got her model-like figure.
Zanna Van Dijk
Personal trainer Zanna Van Dijk decided to create her own blog because she wanted to empower women and promote self-love. Her posts are a mix of travel accounts, nutrition and personal posts. Zanna has been fortunate enough to work with some big brands including Adidas, Nissan and Tommy Hilfiger.
She also co-founded the #girlgains movement with Instagram friends Tally Rye and Victoria Spence in an attempt to “unite women and inspire them to become fitter, healthier and happier”.
