Music: The Who, What, Where of Visions Festival

Visions Festival is happening next weekend in East London and we’re so excited about it, we’ve decided to tell you about all the best shows happening and where they are, making your life a little easier during this busy Saturday.

Visions Festival is spread across 6 venues around east London, all walking distance from each other: Oval Space, Mangle, London Fields Brewhouse, NTS, Sebright Arms and St. John’s Church.

If you want to refresh your memory regarding the musicians, don’t forget to check out our second Felix Fridays playlist here: http://spoti.fi/2tLChLU and follow us on Spotify!

Early on

We start early with a good one at Mangle. Goat Girl are absolutely smashing it right now. Catchy hooks, rebel attitude and rock’n’roll vibes. We love them.

You’ll need to do a little bit of exercise to get to the next not-to-miss show on Netil House’s rooftop, where Puma Blue will be taking you on a soft and sexy journey in the sunshine at 3:45pm.

Frankie Cosmos will be playing at Oval Space at 5pm so get down to the venue, grab a pint and enjoy the show. They’re energetic, fun and sweet. Check out “Fool” on our Felix Fridays playlist!

Afternoon

If you’re not familiar with Her’s, head to Sebright Arms at 6:30pm. The duo from Liverpool have more than one good track up their sleeve. Check out “Speed Racer” in our Felix Fridays playlist!

If you’re feeling something a little more rock’n’roll, Shame are a post punk band who are absolutely crazy when they take the stage. Mosh pits, crowd surfing, singer and bassist making out on stage, you just know you’ll be surprised. We decided to include their most recent single “Visa Vulture” on our playlist, dedicated to our very own Theresa May. They’re on at 6:15pm at Mangle.

A few more pints and if the weather is nice, head back up to the Netil House rooftop to see Cosmo Pyke at 9:15pm.

Evening

If you’re feeling mellow in the evening and feel like ending the night on a chilled one – Happyness is who you’re going to see at Sebright Arms. Rarely has there been a band as alternative as Happyness.

But you will need to make a tough decision, because close to the same time, we’ve got eclectic and electronic Sophie at Oval Space, or punk rock band Liars at Mangle. Check them out on our playlist, both are guaranteed to give brilliant live performances.

If you were planning on having a boozy day, don’t want to see everything and don’t know the area very well, we recommend you spend your day at Sebright Arms. The line-up is on fire: Her’s, Amber Arcades and Happyness are all in one venue and not to forget, one of the finest music pubs in London.

Whoever you decide to see next weekend, enjoy yourself and do try to check out as many bands as you can – you’ll discover great music, and there are fun activities all day long, from beer pong with Happyness at St. John Church to the punk rock karaoke at Sebright Arms, all only for £30.
