Enjoy the Best Vegan Dining in London

One of the most challenging parts of veganism is dining out. You don’t want to force your eating habits onto your friends but you also don’t want to go hungry. So where do you go for a delicious meal that satisfies everyone? Luckily, there is a great selection of restaurants in London that cater to vegans, with some serving only vegan and vegetarian dishes. Here is a list of some favourites:

Ethos

veganConveniently located between Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road, Ethos offers a variety of food options that clearly label specific dietary requirements such a vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar-free.

The food is served in a premium buffet manner and you pay based on the weight of your dish. Prices vary depending on how much you put on your plate but if you’re smart about the foods you pick, you can come out of the restaurant feeling full and satisfied with a guilt-free conscience and some money still in your pocket.

Cook Daily

All dishes are served in bowls and come in generous portions. It is easy to customise dishes so you can tailor your meal to your taste buds. If you haven’t been to Boxpark in Shoreditch yet, head over this weekend – you won’t regret it.

Mildred’s

veganMildred’s is London’s most famous vegetarian restaurant for good reason. Its international menu is meat-free with the option to be vegan. Its popularity means there are now three locations in London: Soho, Camden and Kings Cross.

The only downside is that you can’t book in advance. It is so popular that I once had to wait an hour for a table for six people but it is always worth the effort.

The Mae Deli

veganAlthough this cute West London café serves good food, its fame comes more from the owner than from the food. You have probably heard of Deliciously Ella who has a number of plant-based cookbooks in stores and a massive cult following on social media.

Ella used food to deal with her own health problems and since changing the way she sees and uses food she has not only healed herself but has created her own brand. The food and juices aren’t cheap but the deli is fun and lively. If you’re lucky you will see Ella in the flesh and perhaps give a pat to her adorable dog.
