Places To Eat and Drink in Richmond

Richmond is a wonderful village on the outskirts of London, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Not far from the city and easy to spot a deer or two. It’s also home to some pretty excellent food and drink. Here’s what we’ve found so far..

La Buvette

Richmond has its share of foreign population, French ones being of them. Although people enjoy living in foreign lands, they love it when they can enjoy something from their homeland. Demand for home cuisine led to the arrival of La Buvette in 2009.

It is located place that was formerly a refectory of Saxon church. The menu at until La Buvette boasts of the very authentic mussels, chicken stew, a very rustic very French soup. For the vegetarians, Bourguignon is available. The ingredients of this are beetroot, parsnip and potatoes. Would you like to taste some free Kir?  Just sign up their mailing list.

Petersham Nurseries Café

This top London diner has received a great honour of earning a Michelin star. This honour was bestowed upon Petersham Nurseries when chef Skye Gyngell worked his magic in the kitchen.

Now, even if the renowned chef has moved to work with Spring at Somerset House, Petersham still remains a greenhouse restaurant that serves sumptuous food using seasonal ingredients.

While Al Boccon Di’vino is technically a restaurant, it’s probably unlike any restaurants you’ve visited before – there’s no menu, no limit to the courses, and you might end up being there for up to four hours! This tiny Venetian spot is like spending the evening at a vibrant Italian wedding feast, complete with fresh pasta and a whole suckling pig.  Get your booking in early though – it can sell out months in advance.

Rincon

richmond

This is a Spanish wine bar and a fairly young one. Its marketing and catering to the customers has quickly made it a favourite. The bar offers wines, Spanish ones, paella, tasty, you have to taste it to believe it. To top all the great food it also offers live music. Food and music, go well together, don’t you think? Another great marketing strategy, tapas are offered for half the actual price during the slot of 5.30-7.30pm during the week.
