Trend Report: What The Fashion Influencer’s Are Loving This Season

With Autumn upon us, we eagerly look to a whole new season of trends to indulge in! However, the anticipation is over. From Paris to Milan the AW 2018 catwalks did not disappoint. Brown is the new black. Western is here to stay. Animal prints are everywhere. Needless to say, we cannot contain our excitement. Just dropped is a sensational pair of cargo pants from RE/DONE which can be for work, play, going out of roughing it at home.

Animal Print:

Leopard print dominated this summer even rivaling florals as the must-have print! However, as we come into Autumn animal prints are being used more widely, from zebra at Balenciaga to Diane Von Furstenberg yellow leopard print it was everywhere. However, don’t be misled into thinking Leopard print is going anywhere, it’s being extended into all areas of fashion! Accessories include scarves such as Donni Faux Fierce Rectangle Scarf to name a few favourites! To really commit to the trend dare to wear contrasting prints. For example, Isabel Marant Étoile Apolo Zebra Straight-Leg Pants and Caroline Constas Damaris leopard Blouse.

Heritage:

British heritage was a key theme on catwalks, from tartan tailoring to Chanel’s tweed. Was it a coincidence the Queen made an unexpected appearance when many of the designs were so quintessentially British? Statement head wear was another trend we saw a rise in, however, if you are not brave enough to wear a balaclava just yet opt for the cute Eugenia Kim Chloe Tweed Hat. Although, the Dorothee Schumacher Checkered Knee Coat is the perfect check garment to make you excited about the colder weather! Alternatively, add some colour in as Isa Arfen did with a check top. Proenza Schouler PSWL Long Sleeve Stretch Cotton Turtleneck is perfect for those colder days.

Western:

Western themes have begun to creep into the forefront of fashion this summer but this trend is only going to grow. Cowboy boots are the biggest shoe this season with influencer such as Aimee Song already sporting them. Ganni Meg Leather Cowboy Ankle Boots are the most sought-after boot of the season! Pair these with Johanna Ortiz Stretch Cotton Poplin Mapale Shirt and MSGM Fringe Jeans for the ultimate rodeo look.

The Seventies:

Our Era of inspiration was subtly the Seventies. Yet, the most notable trend from the 70’s is our colour palette for Autumn, variations of brown are preferable!  For the full seventies vibe opt for shearling! Match together the Apparis Clothilde Faux Shearling Coat and Maison Fabre Suede And Shearling Long Gloves.

Shine:

Lastly, it was as if the Shiny Show had taken residence at fashion week A/W 2018. Silver, Vinyl, leather and patent were everywhere. Eighties fashion will take over our evening wear. The Tibi Mock Neck Sequin Top will convince you why. VEJA V10 Metallic Leather Sneaker is gaining popularity also as one of the most affordable designer footwear.
