The Guide to Size, Choose the Right Bra for Your Cup Size

Breasts come in all shapes as sizes.  There is not a typical normal breast we have a wonderfully unique pair.  However, this can make it difficult when choosing the right bra.  It comes down to size initially, then shape, these two things will help you determine which bra is right for you!

Large:

80% of support comes from the band, so its essential women with large breast look for a wideband bra.  Figleaves Curve Leaf Embroidered UW 1/2 Pad Bra incorporates this yet does not sacrifice design for practicality, rather combines both! However, for everyday wear, full-cup bras are the smart choice.  They ensure your girls stay in place no matter what you are doing. DD+ Stretch Lace Full Cup Bra is our favourite! For round shaped boobs, a plunging bra such as the White Fishnet Lace Cross Back Underwired Soft Bra is the most suitable.  However, for teardrop shaped breasts a balconette bra will give a more rounded look, opt for Daisy Lace Underwired Balcony Bra.

Medium:

The average cup size in the UK is now 36DD, which may shock many of you! A T-shirt bra is an everyday essential, which is lucky that it is most suitable for medium size breasts.  The Viva Padded Bra – Black is ideal as it has relatively wide straps for support and an extra mesh on the top of the cup to keep the appearance of your breast smooth. As we said T-shirt bras are essential and that’s why we adore this Dorina Chloe 2 Pack T-Shirt Bra buy!  As most of the support comes from the band the Indira Soft Bra is suitable for large breast, despite having no padding or wiring!

Small:

Smaller breasts probably have it the easiest, they don’t have to worry about back pain and don’t require much support.  However, they also lose out on cleavage. The Black Satin Underwired Longline Balconette Bra crisscrosses at the front pulling your breasts in to achieve a fuller looking bust! Whilst the Grey Soft Push Up Bra is more of a traditional push-up bra, with lots of padding! However, a pretty bralette such as Wide Elastic Printed Satin Bra is most suitable for the smaller busted among us.
