Style: Shopping Emilio Pucci’s Collection To Treat Yourself!

With the departure of Massimo Giorgetti last April, we are still eagerly awaiting the appointment of the next creative director at Emilio Pucci. Thus, we saw this as a perfect opportunity to review the collection on as it features some of Giorgetti’s last pieces for Emilio Pucci. His career began in 1947 with a ski outfit he designed for his friend. Harper’s Bazar photographed and published the outfit. However, it was not until the 1950’s that his signature prints emerged, that we still see in recent collections.

Buying from designers always feels like something special, because your are buying a story. Net-a-porter claim that we have Radiohead to thank for the double-breasted crepe blazer and stretch-crepe straight-leg pants suit.

Massimo, the former DJ, was listening to them whilst designing the Pre-Fall ‘17 collection. Wide leg pants seem to be everywhere right now and amongst our favourites has to be Emilio Pucci’s Cotton-blend pants in white.

They sit at the narrowest part of your waist and flare out to an impressive size, giving the illusion of a smaller waist!  Compared to other items, the designs of t-shirts are generally kept simpler, in the collection. For example, the simply embellished Cotton-jersey T-shirt in Black and Twill-trimmed Cotton-jersey.

Emilio Pucci’s signature prints seem to never let us down, beautifully wild. Here are our top picks.

Make a statement in this gorgeous Nigeria Printed Cotton And Silk-blend Jumpsuit. Add a leather jacket and pointed mules and you’ll have no regrets!  Rather than the usual bold prints, we were surprised when finding soft hues placed on a pair of printed silk-twill tapered pants.

The art deco inspired print is perfect for warm weather.  Finally a pair of flared trousers in a bold geometric print. We adore these trousers they scream fun, yet will lengthen your legs while slimming them at the same time, with their flared shape. We have plenty more of top picks from Net-a-Porter to choose from.

The time to shop this iconic designer is now!
