Every other street style picture we see at the moment features a military jacket of some kind. Military attire has come into the mainstream thanks to brands such as Yeezy and the return of army cargo pants.
Military Jackets:
When I think of military jackets my mind goes to Jimi Hendrix iconic antique hussar’s uniform. The signature braided gold epaulettes form the classic military jackets. Burberry takes the lead when it comes to authentic, flamboyant jackets.
Yet Boohoo offers an affordable alternative, with a modern take. Free People’s denim addition is wonderful with button detailing. Asos Embroidered Button Up Coat has the same epaulette detail, but in black.
Bomber jackets:
We can’t let the army take all the credit for our fashion. Designed for US aircrew originally, bomber jackets are now a staple item for everyone’s wardrobes. One of our favourite bloggers Chiara Ferragini is strongly supporting the extension of the bomber trend.
We agree on one thing, its the perfect jacket going into Spring as it is lightweight, yet still provides the warmth we need. Pretty little things provide some of our favourites. A classic khaki jacket that is extremely versatile. As well as a maxi bomber jacket, which updates this trend in 2018. Blazers:
