2017 saw the reign of the statement earring. Coming into a new year we see there’s a clear earring game and the rule is; no average sizes. The only earrings to wear either weigh the same as your bag or will get lost in it.
Large statement earrings are everywhere and they’re a trend you should commit to, they can make the most bland of outfits impress and it’s bigger the better, more is more. Balenciaga have shown its even acceptable to wear just one and we can’t get enough of it, with a one shouldered cocktail dress it’s the only jewellery needed.
Yes, they may weigh you down, but no pain, no gain right? Beyoncé is the poster girl for statement earrings, wearing them even when pregnant with twins, so there really are no excuses, if she can do it so can you.
Realistically large statement earrings are not practical for everyday, luckily its either XL or XS. We love Gigi Hadid’s delicate Messika paperclip earring, small earrings can complete an outfit just as much as statement earrings
