The global leaders of streetwear drop their Autumn/Winter collection online today, (August 23), and it is a cosy mega collection featuring everything from faux fur jackets and balaclavas to a collapsible shovel and inflatable blimp. Everything you could possibly need for a Supreme A/W.
The collection features more than 130 coats and jackets ranging from snug plaid bomber jackets to puffer jackets and overcoats.
Additionally, Supreme has collaborated with Vanson Leathers to create three colourful leather skeleton jackets.
They’ve also teamed up with Schott motorcycle leathers to create an embossed black tassel jacket and two luxurious faux leopard fur-lined cowhide worker jackets.
Supreme pay homage tothe Al Pacino classic Scarface with a leather jacket and denim jacket plastered in iconic Scarface graphics.
Another of Supreme’s mashups is a tribute to the retro porn phenomenon Playboy. The A/W collection features three varsity wool jackets in black, burgundy and powder blue, each with leather Supreme and Playboy bunny logo stitched on the front. They have thrown in a real ‘90s throwback zip sweater with Playboy bunny heads on each breast to really pile on the ‘90s porn nostalgia.
Some other new pieces are covered in Andres Serrano’s artwork, most notably the “Blood and Semen” hoodies and sweatpants which come in white or black with the red and white pattern covering each piece.
Perhaps in a nod to the classic Elma the Elephant, there are patchwork sweats that bear a striking resemblance to the childhood elephant.
Vanson Leathers and Supreme have fashioned trousers to match the skeleton biker jackets. Or, for those who aren’t into biking, there’s a full red tartan jacket and trouser combination, for those who can’t get enough tartan.
Perhaps the most impressive part of the collection is the colossal amount of hats on offer. There are more than 145 beanies and 240 caps in varying colours and designs, from florals to paisley.
Also on offer are practical accessories like face masks and headbands for any keen winter joggers. The Playboy and Serrano’s “Blood and Semen” collaborations follow through to the collections of hats.
Supreme X Playboy are offering beanies in bright green, black, red, sky blue and white. The Serrano collaboration is available in a white or black cap.
As always with Supreme, the clothes are quite something but it’s with the accessories that things really get interesting. As expected with a Supreme collection there are waist bags, hold-alls and rucksacks. This season they’ve released a very Ikea-esque “fuck” chair in association with Scandinavian homewear brand Artek.
The chair comes in a light wood with a red jacquard “fuck” design. They’ve also brought out a bright red workout mat; “shit” wool throws and even chop sticks and a full Sake set because Supreme wouldn’t want anybody to go without the essentials this winter.
Following the theme of the collection, Serrano’s “Blood and Semen” print can be found on one of the five skateboards Supreme is offering in the Fall collection. The other four boards are plastered in Mark Gonzales’s “Gonz Ramm” design which can also be found on key chains, beanies, a sweater and pins.
Once again Supreme has created the sort of colossal collection of the weird and wonderful that they have become famous for but this collection features real treasures and some very unexpected but satisfying collaborations. Collection after collection they cement themselves as the daddies of streetwear and this one is no different.
