Exploring London’s Best Erotic Shops

Erotic shops in London aren’t what they used to be. Gone are the Soho glory days where all and sundry would steal about the bawdy backstreets, looking for a salacious little something. Nowadays, online emporia rule the roost – but if you look closely enough, you may still stumble upon the last strongholds of London’s erotic outlets.

Harmony

erotic shopsOxford Street isn’t somewhere you’d associate with sex shops. But Harmony has snuck out of Soho and sits seductively on the corner, dipping its toes into the mainstream. Harmony is probably my favourite sex shop in London. Why? Because it has a great range with two floors to flirt with, but also because it offers competitive prices that sometimes beat online offers. Harmony is what Ann Summers would be if it gave up the day job and fully embraced the night.

Sh!

Designed as an antidote to the male dominated sex industry, Sh! was the first women’s only sex shop in the UK. This shop did women a whole lot of good, opening minds and legs to solo orgasms and sex toys. It manages to stay classy while being comfortable and inviting. No question is out of bounds here, regardless of sexuality or age, giving it a carnal, community feel. The prices can be a little steep but you’re getting what you pay for. What’s more, they do classes in all manner of sinful things: pegging, orgasms, seduction and lesbian sex are just the tip…

Prowler

erotic shopsOne for the ladies, now one for the guys. Prowler is the ultimate gay sex shop and takes us back to good old Soho. It stocks all you could ask for and some you certainly wouldn’t ask for. There’s loads of sex toys and paraphernalia but also a great range of boxers and budgie smugglers. Y’know, should your last pair have got ripped or something similar… Prowler is very much the established store of choice for gay sex accessories with a few wild cards thrown in. We’d give their “will fist on first date” T-shirts an appropriately wide berth.

Honour

Image result for image honour londonThere are so many fetish and BDSM stores around that it’s hard to pick just one. We’ve chosen Honour as it caters for all genders and persuasions although it doesn’t stock for the less common fetishes. Other than that, Honour has just about all you could want: PVC, leather, costumes, bondage, lingerie and sex toys. What makes Honour a cut above the rest is its price. If you’re just starting out in BDSM or fetishes you don’t want to spend a fortune and then find out it’s not for you. Head to Honour to buy without restraint – unless that’s what you’re into.

Coco De Mer

erotic shopsCoco is the absolute high end of the spectrum. It’s products are quite simply beautiful with vibrators that wouldn’t look out of place in the Saatchi Gallery. Beauty comes at quite the price, of course. If you’re looking to buy that special someone something special on that really special day then look no further. If that special someone in your life is you, then so much the better. Come to Coco to blow your cash, mind and maybe more if that present works out…
