Stag and Hen on a budget

Accept it – we all want a stag or hen party with the best itinerary in the most exotic destination. But if you’re stressing about what you can afford and what you can’t. We have a few good tips and know of a few stag and hen locations that won’t completely empty your pocket.

Amsterdam

Exciting activities, cafes serving more than just coffee and the raunchy red light district, make Amsterdam a good option for stag weekend celebrations.  Keep in mind that most of the streets look the same, particularly after a few lemonades, so enjoy the nightlife without the aid of those space cakes

Riga

One of the most popular but cheapest stag do destinations is Riga in Latvia, where you can celebrate your ultimate weekend of freedom. Cheap flights and shared rooms for under a tenner a night make Riga pretty wallet-friendly for a stag do. This means more money to spend on alcohol and Riga’s fantastic nightlife – with beer for just under a euro, it’s perfect for a pub crawl!

Prague

Prague is a recent arrival on the stag celebration scene. It’s one of the cheapest yet fun-filled stag destinations in Europe. The booze is quite cheap and it’s great for sightseeing as this historic city is small enough to wander around on foot, which means you save money. If you do get tired, Prague’s transport system is very efficient.

Bratislava

With its inspiring architecture and abundant accommodation, beautiful Bratislava in Slovakia is much like neighbouring Prague when it comes to stag celebrations. At night, the city becomes a vibrant party town, but there’s no need to fear going over budget. The shopping and eating here are also good.

Barcelona

Barcelona is a perfect destination for a hen who loves to drink, party all night and enjoy the men of the city. With a huge range of spas and multiple opportunities to sit back and relax, it is the perfect place to pamper a hen. And it’s tough to beat that combination of seafood, sun and sangria. Flights to Barcelona are cheap.

Ibiza

It’s time for the gorgeous ladies to relax poolside in the sun with champagne and music. It doesn’t get any better than this. Ibiza is known for its year-round hot weather and popular clubs – and there is so much to do. You will surely have an unforgettable weekend.

Edinburgh

Plan your hen weekend in Edinburgh if you want to find out if what they say about a real Scotsman is true! There are as many pubs as there are tanning salons, so can party all night then work on your tan. Sightseeing, shopping and games can only add to the fun. Go Girl!

Newquay

Another popular hen destination full of activities, entertainment hubs, bars and pubs, many featuring male dancers and strippers. Less than £90 per individual should ensure an exciting and energetic celebration. Newquay is perfect for the hen who loves the beach and some fun with boys and champagne.

What to consider?

House/cottage stay – If you choose a house or cottage to stay in, you will save lot on food and drink. Organise a big supermarket shop to stock up for the weekend.

Standard of accommodation – If you cut it short, you can go for lower-cost accommodation so you have more money to spend on activities. You can also trim travel costs.

Choosing cheaper destinations

Some destinations are cheaper than others. For example, spending a summer hen party in Brighton is a wise decision as everything is within walking distance and there is also the beach to relax on. Similarly, Eastern Europe is much cheaper than destinations like Las Vegas.
