So much going on in Greenwich!

Greenwich is much more than the meeting of hemispheres at the Prime Meridian. It is one of the most ideal parts of London, a well-established district with great markets and a huge range of shopping outlets and dining options to explore. Greenwich boasts a royal heritage, some of the world’s best museums, historical sites, galleries, shopping centres and restaurants.

Cutty Sark

National Maritime Museum

Queen’s House

Queen’s HouseA former royal residence, now part of the National Maritime Museum, this was the first classical building in the UK, designed by Indigo Jones. The palace was built as a ‘house of delight’ for Anne of Denmark and is renowned for its art collection. Highlights include the painted ceilings, the perfect cube of the Great Hall, the Tulip Staircase, and the Orangery opening into Greenwich Park.

Greenwich Park

greenwichGreenwich Park’s 183 acres comprise the oldest enclosed royal park in the UK. One of the largest single green spaces in south-east London, this former hunting park for Henry VIII is now home to a herd of deer and offers spectacular views of the Thames and central London. It is a part of the Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage site. During summer, the park hosts band concerts. There are children’s playgrpounds and facilities for tennis and cricket.

Old Royal Naval College
