How to Get Fit Fast?

Whether you’re looking to get fit fast, wanting to improve your health or you’re ready to take your fitness to the next level there are always a few easy tricks you can implement to help you achieve your results faster. Because it’s not always about pounding the pavements, squatting till you can’t walk or eating boring tasteless food!

To inspire you on your journey and save you time, we’ve tried and tested a few methods so we could share them with you:

Upgrade Your Eats

One way to kickstart good eating habits is to get yourself a little help in the form of a personalised meal delivery service. Fresh Fitness Food (link:https://freshfitnessfood.com) is one of many of these services available; once you choose your goal, a nutritionist devises your personal meal plan so your meals can be freshly prepared and delivered directly to you at home or work.

We love the Lean Gains Package, the Wellness Package and the newly introduced Vegetarian Package on their menu. We especially like the sound of Chicken and cherry tomato frittata with spinach, green beans and kale salad for breakfast, don’t you? Eating a healthy, balanced diet not only plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy weight, it also helps to manage stress, increase energy levels and fuel your day to day performance in and out of the gym.

Stay Hydrated

There’s a saying that goes, if you feel thirsty, you’ve already started to become dehydrated so the best way to combat this is by drinking little and often. Monitor your water intake with a water bottle or specific glass so you can keep an eye on how much you are drinking during the day. Did you know, we become dehydrated at just a 2% loss in body fluids? Staying hydrated can help reduce tiredness, keeping you more alert, reduce headaches or muscle cramps related to dehydration and help to keep your skin health, moisturised and reduce the rate of ageing. Optimum hydration levels will also ensure that you feel energised in order to get your workouts in!

You Don’t Even Need To Leave Home

get fit fastWith everyone lusting after washboard abs, is there an easy way to achieve them?!

We tried out the Slendertone Connect Abs Toning Belt which combines their electrical muscle stimulation training system with a smartphone app (via bluetooth) for a workout that can literally be done anywhere, anytime and by anyone!

We tested out the Essential Toning programme which consisted of 5 sessions per week for 6 weeks. With each session lasting just 25 – 30 minutes, being the equivalent of doing 202 sit-ups it couldn’t be simpler.

Controlling the intensity via the app made it easy to challenge yourself to get the most out of each session and the app also tracks your progress throughout your chosen programme.

Strengthening your core muscles helps you to bring balance to your body especially if you sit at a desk for the majority of your work day.

A strong core also helps to prevent injuries no matter what activities you already do, improve your posture and help to banish back pain.

Utilise Your Commuting Time

There are some simple ways you can utilise your commute to the office that will also benefit your health, fitness and wellbeing. How about getting off the bus a few stops early in order to get in some extra steps towards a daily goal? Or even consider cycling to work; with the Santander Bicycle Scheme you don’t even need to own a bike (maybe just a helmet). You could even challenge yourself to run home after work; you might even beat the time it takes on public transport!

No Pain, All The Gains

get fit fastLocated in the heart of the City of London, Speedflex is a studio that promises results without the associated post workout discomfort The premise behind Speedflex is that the machines you use are low impact therefore causing you minimal soreness the next day.

Each new client attends an induction before their first workout which includes a short appointment with a Trainer to take your measurements and discuss goals. You’re then shown around the studio, instructed on how to use the equipment and filled in on the class structures.

The workouts are all still high intensity but that is whatever high intensity means to your level of fitness making the sessions accessible for everyone no matter their fitness level or experience.

Speedflex suggest 3 sessions per week to get the best results and we think you would definitely get the results if you put the work in!
